Elaine Voci, owner of Elaine Voci Life Skills Coaching, celebrated her newest book at a party at The Meeting House in the village of West Clay on April 12th that featuring comfort foods by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, beautiful music by Carmel harpist Jill Pitz, and a complimentary copy of the book with a gift set of specialty crayons for each guest to take home.

The event included a special interactive presentation by Voci on the healing impact that music, ritual and art can have on the grieving process.

“This coloring book is about the beauty and sorrow of grief and its relationship to resilience; it contains many personal stories and professional experiences that I share in order to illustrate aspects of grief and grieving that I have known firsthand,” says Voci. “I hope readers can use them as nutrition for the soul because stories are powerful and can open gateways into their inner life.”

Voci specializes in both life and bereavement coaching, and is certified as a Life Cycle Celebrant trained in the art of ceremony, specializing in funerals and celebration of life services. A former hospice volunteer, she is also the host of the Carmel Death Café which meets quarterly in its fourth year. A companion two-hour Resilience Art workshop was designed and developed by Voci who is currently presenting it to residents of local assisted living centers plus through her private practice in Indianapolis. Other services include a Conscious Aging course, a Mindful Caregiving workshop, and a monthly blog written for the Celebrant Foundation & Institute that is often featured in Spirituality & Health online magazine.
