In her new book, life coach and Death Café facilitator Elaine Voci, Ph.D., provides hope for the bereaved by sharing her personal and professional stories of grief and explains how art, music and ritual, when used together, can bring comfort and healing from loss.

This book is unique because it pairs an engaging narrative with 24 original, full-page designs for coloring, and includes grief-themed poetry and verse, as well as resources for finding support for grieving and incorporating rituals.

Voci explains that grief and resilience are intertwined; integrating grief into our other memories in life is strengthening because death and life are two sides of the same coin. It is impossible to talk about one without considering the other. Resilience is a healthy outcome of moving forward after a loss.

Inside the pages of Voci’s inspired book are insights, poignant stories and thoughtful suggestions for how to use the creative arts and ritual to express and explore the emotions associated with grieving. “I share my personal stories and professional experiences to illustrate aspects of grief and grieving that I have known firsthand,” states Voci. “My hope is that the book will provide support, inspiration and encouragement to those on a journey through grief.”

Voci is also offering a companion two-hour workshop, based on the book, which will be available in the Indianapolis area.
