Area vegans and those interested in veganism are encouraged to attend the annual Indy VegFest, an all-vegan event, from noon to 6 p.m. on March 31 at the Biltwell Event Center, in Indianapolis. Early access tickets are available for purchase, allowing entrance to the event at 11 a.m. These tickets include a goodie bag, a complimentary drink ticket, and the opportunity to be one of the first guests to sample food and visit with vendors and featured speakers.
Even if you are not vegan, the event offers something for you. Omnivores are encouraged to come out and sample plant-based foods and products. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks from local restaurants, attend cooking demos, participate in fitness activities and register for giveaways and prizes throughout the event.
More than 75 vendors will take part, offering a variety of items free of animal ingredients from fresh veggies to skin care to clothing and crafts. Additional vegan-based organizations, such as the Book Publishing Co., which publishes vegan cookbooks, and plant-based educator and food delivery service Proverbial Grounds, LLC, will be represented.
Individuals that are interested in volunteering for the event are encouraged to contact Indy VegFest via their website to register.
Admission: Free; early access tickets to the event, $25. Location: Biltwell Event Center, 950 S. White River Pkwy. West Dr., Indianapolis. For more information, visit IndyVegFest.com and Facebook.com/IndyVegFest.Edit ModuleShow Tags
