KIB Launches Several Summer Initiatives

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is leading several hands-on programs and projects to transform urban spaces this month, including the IPL Project Greenspace and the Fall Creek and Boulevard Place Habitat Restoration.

IPL Project Greenspace is an annual initiative that connects with neighborhood-based organizations to help revitalize public spaces. On July 15, KIB, in partnership with IPL will assist Mars Hill neighbors at the nonprofit organization Community Caring and Sharing with pathway creation, building hardscape elements, perennial bed installation, and expansion of their community garden and food pantry programming.

The Fall Creek and Boulevard Place Habitat Restoration project is taking place on July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Join KIB and Fall Creek Place neighbors in their efforts to remove invasive plant species along Fall Creek. KIB will provide the tools and training necessary to rid pesky plants from the area and free this urban landscape of invasive species, providing native plants and wildlife space to thrive.
