Healthy Food Café Hosts Holiday Dinner Event

The Healthy Food Café presents its second annual holiday meal event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 22. “It’s free food for everyone, if people want to donate they can,” says Erica Bryant, CEO of the Healthy Food Café & Truck. “We really want teachers, veterans and all of the other heroes to come in and have a free four-course meal, which can be a vegan, gluten-free or traditional holiday meal.”

Last year’s event attracted more than 100 patrons and Bryant says she hopes for an even bigger crowd this year. For Bryant and her staff, the event is simply a way of celebrating the season of giving by paying it forward.

“It’s just about giving back to the community and having a fun time talking and getting to know one another,” Bryant says. “We are just giving back and trying to bless someone.”

Location: 8028 S. Emerson Ave., Ste. F, Indianapolis. Cost: Free. For more information, call 317-476-2361 or visit TheHealthyFoodCafe.com.
