Celebrate the Holidays at Area Attractions
This holiday season brings an abundance of opportunities to celebrate and share time with family and friends at several major area attractions.
Conner Prairie by Candlelight is a family-friendly walking tour taking you back in time to meet a variety of settler characters in their homes and learn about their family traditions on the night before Christmas in 1836 Prairietown.
The Indianapolis Zoo is offering its 48th annual Christmas at the Zoo with holiday lights and displays, a Santa’s Village for cookie decorations and a visit with Santa, Christmas carols sung by local school choirs, plus access to the indoor exhibits. This event is offered past sunset and some of the cold-weather zoo animals will be able to be viewed as well. The event was voted in the top five of USA Today’s 10 Best Zoo Lights.
Another great option is to head to the Children’s Museum for Jolly Days now through January 6, where the museum is transformed into a winter wonderland with many activities like making snow in a Giant Snow Globe, visiting with Santa Claus and riding down the two-story Yule Slides, converted from the museum’s staircases.
All events require admission to the venue. Conner Prairie is located at 13400 Allisonville Rd., Fishers. For more information, call 317-776-6006 or visit ConnerPrairie.org.
