Annual Indiana Artisan Marketplace Returns
The ninth annual Indiana Artisan Marketplace, with more than 100 participating art and food artisans, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 6 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 7 at the Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, in Indianapolis. The marketplace offers vendors that are recognized for their exceptional quality of work as an “Indiana Artisan”, a title given by the Indiana Artisan Brand, defined as “a Hoosier recognized for careful attention to detail, knowledge of a craft and an entrepreneurial spirit.”
This year’s event will feature nearly 200 artisans from more than 50 Indiana counties. Artisans’ work will be available for purchase, as well as food samples, and artisans will also create new original works during the event.
The Indiana Artisan Brand works will encompass glass, wood, leatherwork, oils, watercolors, acrylics and colored pencil; wine, jewelry, weaving and fiber art, as well as specialty food items including cheeses fudge, popcorn and chocolates.
Admission: $10 at the door; free for 14 and younger. Location: 1202 E. 38th St. For more information, visit IndianaArtisan.org.Edit ModuleShow Tags
